  1. AutoKrypt for Mac OS X v.9.09 AutoKrypt is an encryption software designed for automation that will automatically encrypt or decrypt files and folders. AutoKrypt's encryption methods include password based, public and private key, secret key, OpenPGP password, OpenPGP public.
  2. Get paid for the computing power of your PC. Kryptex mines cryptocurrency and pays you bitcoins or real-world money, be it dollars, rubles or any other currency.

The CrypTool Portal

Unix is an operating system on which many others are built, such as Linux and Mac OS. The bug, dubbed Shellshock, can be used to remotely take control of almost any system using Bash, security experts have said, and has the potential to affect hundreds of millions of computers, servers and devices leaving them vulnerable to cyber-criminals.

The CrypTool Portal is the starting page of the CrypTool project and raises awareness and interest in encryption techniques for everyone. The CT project offers different e-learning software (CT1, CT2, JCT, CTO) and additional websites (this portal and MTC3).

All learning programs in the CT project are open source and available for free. The CT project develops the world's most-widespread free e-learning programs in the area of cryptography and cryptoanalysis.

CrypTool in your browser

CrypTool-Online (CTO)
With CrypTool-Online (CTO), you can play around with different cryptographic algorithms directly in your browser (on a PC, smartphone, tablet, etc).

CrypTool to be downloaded

CrypTool 1 (CT1)
CrypTool 1 (CT1) was the first version of CrypTool. It was released in 1998 and allows to experiment with different cryptographic algorithms. CT1 runs under Windows and has two successors: CT2 and JCT.
CrypTool 2 (CT2)
CrypTool 2 (CT2) supports visual programming and execution of cascades of cryptographic procedures. CT2 contains an especially large number of cryptanalysis methods and also runs under Windows.
JCrypTool (JCT)
JCrypTool (JCT) is platform-independent due to Java and runs under Linux, Mac and Windows. One focus are post-quantum (signature) algorithms.

Crypto Challenge Contest

MysteryTwister Crypto Challenge Contest (MTC3)
MTC3 is an active international crypto cipher challenge offering cryptographic riddles of 4 different levels. You can discuss solutions in the moderated forum.

Participate!

Volunteers, especially programmers, and students planning to write their thesis in the area of cryptography, are always welcome to join in the further development of the CrypTool project. You will experience project management in a distributed, agile project.
